Wonderful Weekend

We had a great weekend full of friends and activities. First, Neanie and Papaul came and stayed with us on Thursday night. Of course Neanie brought lots of yummy food (cheese dip, "neanie" bread, pecan pies, key lime pie, twice baked potatoes, butter beans, candied pecans, ribeye, turnip greens, french bread with cheese spread, carrots, wine....her car's trunk with stuffed to say the least!), and she brought candy and halloween goodies for the kids. Their favorite prizes were the Halloween tattoos. As you can see from the pictures, the kids had a lot of fun putting them on Neanie and Papaul, too!

On Friday our good friends the Fortunes came and stayed with us. The kids were SO EXCITED to see each other. George and Clem are both going as Batman for Halloween, and they were so funny dressed up together. Annie C. and Annie F. played nonstop and we didn't see much of them. They love to lock Annie's door and be by themselves for hours!
Later that night we went to a party hosted by Coy and Molly and their friends Bryce and Emily. We had so much fun hanging out with and getting to know their buddies. The views were amazing! The party was a lot of fun. After the party we went to Justin Patton's house for another little get together. We had a great time with Justin and his girlfriend Chris, Jon David, Ashley, Neall, Brooke, Sarah, and more Hendrix and Wynne friends. Mom and Dad came, too, along with the Jenkins. It was wonderful to spend time with old friends.

On Saturday Matt and Mark Fortune went to the game, and Shay and I stayed home with the kids. They basically played all day and were sad to leave each other that night when the Fortunes had to drive home. We miss you guys so much!

After the game, people came over to our house. My parents, Matt's parents, the Jenkins, Courtney and Amber, Matt Haustein and his girlfriend Lisa, Brooke and Sarah, and Daniel Keeley and Alexander. I loved putting out all the food that Neanie had brought! Everyone was impressed with the buffet of goodness. Thanks, Neanie! I don't think I went to bed until 2 or 3 am.

Sunday we rested all day. I took a nap from 1 to 5 pm. I was SO TIRED.
We are truly blessed to have such a full life!
